Cookie and Browser Storage Policy
How GyanBox SMS uses login cookies, browser storage and consent-controlled analytics tags.

Login and security cookies
When you sign in, the website sets access and refresh cookies to maintain your session. The access and refresh cookies are HttpOnly and use Secure in production. A separate clientSession cookie contains an encoded summary of the signed-in user's role and school context so the web app can display the right navigation. It is readable by the browser and is not the API's authorization check.
These cookies are used for sign-in, session renewal and security. They are removed when you sign out or when the session expires. Blocking them can prevent sign-in and authenticated features from working.
Consent and preferences in browser storage
The site saves your analytics choice in browser local storage, rather than in a cookie, until that browser storage is cleared. It also uses local storage for preferences such as theme, language and selected branch. These values stay in that browser and help restore your choices.
Closing the consent notice hides it for the current view but does not record a choice. Accept or Reject Non-Essential records your choice. To show the notice and choose again, clear this site's browser storage and reload the page.
Analytics and advertising tags
The website loads Google Tag Manager with analytics and advertising consent set to denied by default. Accepting updates those consent categories to granted; rejecting keeps them denied. While consent is denied, consent-aware Google tags may send limited cookieless signals. Whether additional tags run and what they collect depends on the current tag-manager configuration, which can change separately from this website code.
The website code does not intentionally send student records, school records or payment credentials to analytics tags. Tag configuration should be reviewed before adding third-party tags or changing what page data is shared.
